NRCS will Restore Flood-Prone Lands with Recovery Act Funding
March 9 - March 27, 2009 is the sign-up period for the floodplain
easement component of the Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP). Up to
$145 million will be available to eligible landowners nationwide as part of
President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act).

Washington State Emergency Response Plan 390-V-NEWPPM, WA505 Amendment #1
The Washington State EWP Emergency Response Plan (ERP) was
prepared as required by NEWPPM policy. The ERP provides an outline of standard
protocols and procedures when responding to a natural disaster. The purpose of
the ERP is to enhance internal and external communication, cooperation and
coordination when dealing with future natural disasters. The WA ERP policy is
