Washington Tribal Liaison Offices
Success Stories

NRCS in the State of Washington works with 30 federally recognized American Indian tribes and eight federally non-recognized tribes.  In an effort to improve our conservation assistance to the tribes, NRCS established and staffed tribal liaison offices on the two largest reservations in Washington State during 2001.  Tribal Liaisons will assist with natural resource conservation planning, applying conservation practices on the ground and coordinating financial assistance from several USDA programs.
