Videotape library
Human Resources maintains a lending library of video tapes on a wide variety of subjects, including Agency History/Mission, Employee Benefits, EEO/Civil Rights,
Ethics, Safety and Health, and more. Contact any member of the HR team for more information!
The Leader in You NRCS employees now have access to live and on-demand Management and Executive training from best selling business
authors and experts--directly at their desktop! In addition to live and interactive events, the Leader in You (LIY) website maintains a library of over 300 training broadcasts and offers access to a wide
variety of Leadership Development Channels that are available via Satellite, Web ("on-demand"), DVD or VHS.
To access the Leadership Development Channels, you must first create your own account by logging onto the Target Learning Corporation website at
http://www.targetlearn.com/my_account/registration.asp. Once at
the "My Channel" portion of website, you will be required to complete all required fields including establishing a username and password and entering the Company's Pin Number (CPN). Note: Contact Human
Resources for NRCS’ CPN.
Once your account has been established at "My Channel", on the left side of the screen, you may search the system for the programs of most interest to you by using the Browse Course Catalog function and by
clicking on the program of choice. You can also search by competency, title, or topic, and view the calendar of events for the current or upcoming months.
On-line evaluations forms are available after viewing each program. We request that you take the time to complete these evaluations. This will help NRCS select the programs that best meet our employee’s needs
and will provide us with a tracking system to determine the viability of the LIY program.
NRCS Conservation Boot Camp
All new field-based employees in the GS-400 and GS-800 series are required to attend Boot Camp within their first year of employment. This intensive,
6-week training covers a variety of subjects that will help prepare you for the job ahead. You will need to work with your supervisor and/or our Training Officer to complete the pre-requisites and schedule
this training. For more information, view a new slide show about Conservation Boot Camp, now available on the
my.NRCS website!
